Émilie Lamy, founder & curator
Émilie Lamy received her M.A. in Cultural Management from Université Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne in 2006. She has ten years of professional experiences in the field of graphic design and publishing, during which she worked for several publishing houses and non-profit organizations (Pyramyd Editions, International Poster and Graphic Design Festival of Chaumont, Marseille European Capital of Culture 2013, Fotokino...) She taught Graphic Design and Visual Research at the École de Communication Visuelle in Paris and Aix-en-Provence. After moving to New Orleans in February 2014, she opened The Stacks in October 2014.
Louise Gallen, store manager
Hailing from Philadelphia, Louise Gallen has called New Orleans home for the past five years. She has her B.A. from Drexel University in Design and Merchandising and has worked for companies like Betsey Johnson, Rent The Runway, and Thomas Mann Design. Louise's extensive background in Sales, Styling, and Customer Service make her the perfect addition to The Stacks team. When she's not working at The Stacks, you can find her at local art markets selling plants and handmade goods with her side business Far Out Trading Post. An avid magazine collector, Louise also loves to make collages and takes sartorial cues from her favorite fashion icons with her ever-changing ensembles.
